Can Blue Jays Feel Love

Can Blue Jays feel love

My father had saved a baby Blue Jay years ago, there was a neighbor hood cat that had attacked and killed the mother as she was trying to defend her baby. My father ran outside to try to stop it with no luck. The cat ran off with the mother bird and since the baby hadn't learned to fly yet he was torn between leaving the baby or rescuing it. Well being that my father was an old softy he decided he'd raise it. The bird was a male as it never laid any eggs. This bird grew up with complete roam of my fathers home, spoiled rotten, the bird would sit on my father's shoulder all the time even though my father made a special perch for him. The bird would go to his perch but mainly at night to sleep. My father would even go outside and the bird went with him and would fly to the ground, but would never stray far when my father wanted to go back inside he would whistle and pat his shoulder and the bird went straight to him. Twelve Years later my father passed away and three months later the bird passed. We believe it's because he was so tight with my father that when he couldn't find my father it broke his heart.

                                                                    I believe so
